Questions about Citybox

Environment?

One of the core values of Citybox is the environment. The world needs our attention and care. Therefore, we took measures to help the world to be a better place for us and the upcoming generations. By the end of 2024, Citybox aims to have the Green Key certification in all hotels.

To achieve the certification, we:
● Reduced room service for every 2 days on stays longer than 4 days.
● Changed all our cutlery and disposables to compostable ones
● Made sure our tap water is drinkable
● Use only cleaning products with the Ecolabel
● Reduced our waste
● Installed airconditioner works based on seasons

Cleaning?

We don't clean your room every day during your stay, as stated in our order confirmation. This helps us keep our prices low, and it's also good for the environment! If you wish to have your room cleaned more often you can request it for a small fee or extra towels, please come visit us at the Host Office.

Extra pillows, towels, duvets, soap or toilet paper?

Available free of charge at our Citybox Host Office.

Extrabed or babycot?

Available on request from our Citybox Host Office (only possible in our double/twin standard category).
Extrabed: €15.00 per night
Babycot: €12.00 per night

Check-in & check-out time?

Check-in is from 15:00, and check-out time is 12:00 at the latest. You can store luggage with us outside of these hours in our luggage room in the lobby. Luggage is stored at your own risk.
Late check-out (until 15:00) can be requested for 20€.

You can store luggage with us in our luggage room. Luggage is stored at your own risk.

Breakfast?

You can find delicious "a la carte" options for breakfast and snacks at our partner café Grand Mangeur, right behind you! Open from 7am-15pm

No TV?

Unfortunately, we do not have any TVs besides those in our lobby and the rooms category Junior Suite. But we have upgraded our wifi so you can use your favourite streaming services on your device.

Door does not lock?

All of our doors lock automatically as long as they are proberbly closed. It is about an 5 second delay before the automatical lock activates. Even though the door is always open from the inside, it is still locked from the outside. Our Citybox Host can come along and check if you feel uncertain about the door being locked.

Is the water safe to drink?

Yes, it even tastes good!

Please call the number at the host office door or the button at the entrance door!

Wi-fi?

Connect to the "citybox-guest" network and accept the terms on the landing page and you will have free wifi.

Need to exchange money?

Unfortunately we are not able to do currency exchange. But Stevens Leo & Co near Central Station will gladly help! They are located on Vestingstraat 70.

Where can I park?

As of August 1st, parking on the surrounding streets of the hotel is prohibited.
"Parking Antwerp Shopping": Prices starting at €2,30 per hour, €18,00 for 24 hours
"Parking Meir-Opera": Prices start at €2,70 per hour, €19,90 for 24 hours
"P+R Luchtbal": Prices start at 1€ per day, subsequent days 3€ per day. To reach the hotel, take the tram 1.

No Kettle?

You can rent a kettle at the Host Office!

Can I smoke in the room?

Smoking is prohibited, including shishas, electronic cigarettes and vapes. You can smoke at the courtyard, at our entrance, or at the balconies. Smoking in the room leads to a fine of 200€.
